Summer Brekkie 2016

(I wrote this post before school started, but finally got around to posting it after the craze of college settled down. If you're still on summer break, savor your freedom by making one of these brekkies!)

There’s exactly 7 more days until I head off to college. 7 more days until I’m 18. 7 more days until I’m not considered a child anymore. 7 more days until I can have a credit card under my own name. Despite all these official sounding things that come with the age 18, it’ll be a long while before the child in me grows up.

Foodie Adventures: Great Maple {San Diego}

Currently writing this post on the plane to Seattle. Feeling weirdly adultish typing on my laptop up in the clouds.

Tiramisu with Homemade Ladyfingers

It's been over a month since I graduated high school. I have a month left of summer now. Before college. Before life away from home. Life, man.

The Art Assignment: Miso Carbonara with Spicy Jalapeño Sausage and Corn

I know many would not believe me when I say this meal was made for an actual homework assignment for AP Art History. Even my mom didn't. BUT IT'S TRUE!

SAN FRANCISCO & BERKELEY TRIP

This post is long overdue, but better late than never! So excited to share one of the best trips of my life and relive it as I write this post. Get comfortable and grab a snack, you're gonna need it.

TGIF #3

THE FIRST TGIF THAT'S ACTUALLY ON FRIDAY LOL. Or I hope I post it by Friday. Currently writing this post on a Wednesday in my anatomy class while my crazy teacher is rambling about the immune system. TGIF #2

I know it's not Friday. Sadly it's Monday. Procrastination is an issue.

Chocolate Dipped Strawberry Cookies

Spring is finally here! 2016 is really flying by. It seems like yesterday when it was just the beginning of March, the dreaded month of long awaited college decisions to come one by one. It's still hard for me to believe that I even applied to college. I still feel 12 tbh. Now it's the beginning of April, which is FULL OF EXCITING THINGS one after the other. Next week is spring break, which I'm going to be spending being a lazy potato and visiting colleges. Then the week after that I'm visiting Berkeley with my breadmate Michelle! Just thinking about waking up at 4 AM and eating McDonald's breakfast at the airport brings a smile to my face. That wasn't sarcastic, I just love going to the airport at inhumane times. So much to look forward to!

TGIF #1

(I know it's not Friday, but I forgot to post it lol)

The first of the many TGIFs to come! I've thought a lot about what to name this series of posts where I share what I've been loving the past week, and I finally decided on TGIF. Ever since my friends have established Friday Hoeday/Trader Hoe day, Friday has definitely become my favorite day of the week BY FAR. It's so fun to dress snazzy for once after the past week of prioritizing MAXIMUM COMFORT, aka sweat pants and hoodie. Especially when you see all your friends looking so fine they could KILL. I love it. AND TRADER HOE DAY! Just being in the presence of that blessed store brings up my mood by infinite levels. If I buy something from TJ's, which is more often than not, I will be sure to share my thoughts on it on these posts.

Foodie Adventures: Queenstown Public House

As a passionate foodie, discovering and trying out different eats is one of my favorite things to do. There's something so exciting about perusing a menu, ordering an eye-catching (or taste bud-tingling?) item, watching the waiter bring your food with hawk eyes, and finally taking a bite of the long-awaited dish. On top of that, nothing makes me quite as happy as a good meal with friends and family. I think having delicious food around generally puts people in a good mood, laying the foundation for lots of laughter and conversation.

HELLO WORLD!

My first post! AH!

I'm beyond excited to finally start a blog of my own! After discovering the incredible world of food blogging in middle school, I've always wanted to create my own blog where I can share my own delectable creations and love for food. Until now, I was hesitant to actually make one because I didn't think I could do it- writing has never been my forte, and consistently managing a blog seemed daunting. But after getting inspired by my amazing friend Michelle at chasing bagels, I finally drew enough confidence to make one! I'm so excited for the future of this blog and sharing my excitement for amazing things from brown butter to Trader Joe's with the world.
